Making the world a better place is at the heart of all grants we fund. We believe that by starting in our local communities, we can begin to make a difference.
History
The Cray-Seaberg Family Foundation and the grants it provides would not be possible without the success of MGP Ingredients that was founded by the Cray family.
In 1941, Cloud L. Cray started a one-plant business in America’s heartland. That startup grew to become MGP Ingredients in Atchison, KS.
MGP embodies Cloud’s belief that a successful business serves the needs of its customers. And to Cloud, Midwestern values are important in building a successful business. Today, MGP is a multi-faced leader in the development, production and marketing of naturally-derived specialty ingredients and alcohol products. Its facilities include corporate offices and an integrated protein, starch and alcohol plant in Atchison, Kansas and a distillery production facility in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Following in the family founder’s footsteps, Cloud’s sons, and now grandchildren, have started or built several other local businesses.
